Review of SSD ADATA M.2 SX6000 Lite 128GB PCI-E Gen3x4 NVMe 3D NAND
3 min readHello everyone. I think everyone already knows that the speed of a computer mainly depends on several parameters or elements. One of such important elements is the hard drive on which the computer’s operating system is located. Hard drives are of three main types.
The first and oldest kind of hard drive is hdd. Such disks are obsolete because they have a very low data transfer rate, but they are very reliable for long-term storage of information. It is advisable to install such a disk second in the computer for storing games or all files not related to the operating system.
The second type of disk is ssd sata, such disks have a fairly high data transfer rate. They also consume very little energy, which will be useful when installing it in a laptop. And they do not have any moving elements inside, which increases their level of resistance to shock or shock.
The third type of ssd m2 disk is by far the most acceptable since such disks have a very high data transfer rate, which is very beneficial for the operation of the entire computer system. They also have a very small size, which allows them to be installed in a system with a limited spare space. But to install such a disk, the system motherboard must be equipped with a special m2 connector. Such disks are also divided into two types and they differ in the difference in data transfer speed and physical connection connector, but these are already technical nuances that need to be studied separately.
The ADATA M.2 SX6000 Lite SSD was chosen by me for installation in a new gaming system based on the intel processor. The main technical characteristics, which according to my plans the disk should have possessed, this instance corresponded to.
1. The read speed declared by the manufacturer is unthinkable 1800 Mb/s, which is very much especially when compared with classic hdd. In fact, during various tests, the speed did not reach the stated results, but it was not much lower.
2. The write speed on this disk should be 600 Mb/s, which is very much, but this parameter cannot be taken seriously since it is not constant.
3. The time to failure, namely, the period in which the disk must remain operational is 1800000 hours. Believe it or not to believe this statement is up to everyone, but the manufacturer probably conducted the appropriate tests.
4. The disk’s memory capacity is 128GB, which is not very much, but it’s enough to place the operating system and necessary programs on it. And I will place the rest of the files and the installation of the games on the second disk. Many say that it is very important not to load these disks by more than 70 percent.
The ADATA M.2 SX6000 Lite SSD drive comes standard. Inside it is additionally packed in a plastic substrate. There is a cooling radiator in the kit, I consider the presence of this device a great advantage. There is an opinion that the cooling radiator removes heat well, thereby allowing the disk to work at acceptable temperatures, even under load. At the first start of the entire system, the disk was immediately detected in bios and then the operating system was installed on it
