My acquaintance with Crucial was relatively recent. Since my work involves interaction with a computer for almost the entire working day, namely, work in CAD programs (computer-aided design system). Not everything can be finished at work, so sometimes you have to finish something at home. The laptop has long ceased to cope with this task, since it is already old, so it hangs terribly. Soon I was tired of it and now, finally, I decided to buy a PC for myself at home. Although it takes up more space compared to a laptop, nevertheless, if we compare the price of buying a laptop stuffed with good hardware and buying a PC of the same characteristics, the laptop loses significantly (and it’s much easier to upgrade with newer PC components) . With the help of a friend, we decided on the iron. In order to save some money, a friend advised me to buy some kind of RAM from an unknown company (at the time of buying a computer, 8 Gb of RAM cost more than 100 USD. It was just at the time when prices jumped to the RAM and video cards ) He said that there is no difference, the more so the guarantee for it is 10 years. As a result, the memory was covered in a week. I came to the store, they checked everything there, they said that it was necessary to change the RAM (then I was not sure what it flew by. There was only one memory module, the computer did not turn on, it just squeaked). When replacing, they advised to exchange with surcharge, in memory of Crucial. Later I learned that Crucial is a subsidiary and business unit of Micron. Crucial memory was not much more expensive, Noname memory, but cheaper than Kingston.

After a couple of years, I decided to upgrade my computer. Buy new hard drives (I first bought an SSD, and then I decided to test an SSD drive with an M.2 connector). After that, it came to RAM. At that time, RAM, the same characteristics of 8 GB, was already almost twice cheaper than when I bought a “brand new” computer. RAM had to be taken at the same frequency, the same volume, and preferably, the same manufacturer (in order to avoid misunderstanding). There were two options, but since the memory with a radiator for heat dissipation was almost the same as without a radiator, decided to buy it (Crucial DDR4 8GB 2400MHz PC-19200 Ballistix Sport Red BLS8G4D240FSEK). After installing the memory, I didn’t notice an over-increase in computer performance, but I did not expect this. “Thinking” the computer in the necessary programs became faster, and it certainly won’t be an extra memory, especially at such an attractive price.
