Good day! Since my phone turned 6 not so long ago and some functions in it no longer work, I decided to purchase a new smartphone. The main characteristic of the phone for me is still reliability, the model is not purchased for one year, so I refused from fashionable Chinese brands.
I am already familiar with the Motorola brand, one of my first phones was a “clamshell” from this brand. That phone has been working properly for almost 7 years, which confirms the reliability of this brand. True, Motorola is no longer the same; Lenovo owns the brand, which has not been very well reviewed recently.
This smartphone appeared at the beginning of this year, it is the simplest and cheapest representative of the G7 series.
The smartphone is delivered in a company box, on the device itself there was a sticker with the main characteristics, the kit also includes a company USB Type-C charger, an instruction with the eloquent inscription Read me (in English, Russian and Ukrainian), a brochure Legal information and information about security and standards, as well as a tool to remove the device for SIM cards and memory cards. I note right away that installing two SIM-cards does not prevent the installation of a memory card (their volume is limited to 512 GB. Unfortunately, the package does not include a case or headphones.
The main characteristics of the smartphone are indicated in the description on the site, there is no point in repeating them, I only note that it is convenient to hold the phone in your hand, the fingerprint function is located on the Motorola brand name on the back of the smartphone and it works without failures (the initial finger scan procedure is quite lengthy). The power and volume buttons are on the right edge of the smartphone, the left edge is not involved.
Also, the rear camera has a 13 megapixel main camera, in the reviews it is noted that the pictures are good in daylight, and indoors and at dusk their quality is greatly deteriorated. Video can be shot in 4K resolution.
At the top of the smartphone is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the sound of the phone, in my opinion, is pretty decent.
The battery capacity is only 3000 mAh, but given that the processor and screen are not very energy-intensive, a full charge should last for several days. After fully charging on the first day (as the instructions advise), the smartphone was discharged by only 20% per day (use, of course, is not the most active).
Also in the reviews, the following characteristics are noted: splash protection, pre-installed Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system, lack of support for the 5 GHz Wi-Fi standard and NFC module for contactless payment.
In general, the smartphone makes a very good impression, the screen allows you to watch video in sunlight, the speaker volume is sufficient to watch movies without headphones.
A smartphone was produced in China, this year’s production (January). Since the smartphone is currently out of sale in the store, I can not recommend it for purchase here, however, it seems to me that the phone deserves the attention of those who are interested in purchasing a device with modern features at an affordable price.
