Review on Smartphone Honor 20 Pro 8/256 GB
5 min readGreetings to all. I decided to write a review for my next purchase in online store. Two and a half months ago, I bought a Honor 20 Pro smartphone on pre-order. For two years I chose a smartphone to replace the obsolete Samsung Galaxi Note 2. Every time, when the choice fell on a particular model, something stopped me. It doesn’t matter whose brand it was, but there were some disadvantages: price, design, quality of the photo and video camera, lack of any features. And in the summer of 2019, there was some kind of boom, smartphone manufacturers bombarded us with new models. This is a South Korean company Samsung, Chinese brands Xiaomi and Huawei that have become popular worldwide. HONOR was founded in 2013 as part of the development strategy of two Huawei brands. Today, HONOR has gained worldwide popularity for its high-quality products. At the same time, selling their goods at a reasonable price.
After reviewing a large number of reviews, promotional videos and the presentation of the Honor 20 Pro model, I decided for myself that I would take this particular smartphone. I just fell in love with him, I absolutely liked everything about him. Also, for pre-order, as a gift for a smartphone, the manufacturer attached HONOR FlyPods Lite wireless headphones, costing an average of 120 USD. On 02.08.2019, the Honor 20 Pro 8/256GB sales start was scheduled, on the third of August I bought the smartphone I ordered.
The goods were sealed by the manufacturer and did not open, with pleasure indulged in this occupation at home, in a relaxed atmosphere.
Packaging is standard for such gadgets. Very strong and dense cardboard box. Cutting the film and lifting up the box lid, we immediately see our Honor 20 Pro smartphone.
The film is pasted on the display with a straightforward pattern and the number 20, denoting the model rad of this smartphone. The back of the smartphone looks amazing and spectacular.
A film with information about the gadget and a recommendation on installing a SIM card is glued on the back.
When I picked it up and saw all this beauty, my joy knew no bounds. Under the transparent film, shimmering in a turquoise-mirror gradient, the glass back of the smartphone appeared strewn with four lenses.
A powerful LED flash and various sensors for fast and accurate focusing are also attached to the camera modules.
In the package, in addition to the smartphone, there are: a charging unit, a USB Type-C cable, an adapter from Type-C to Jack 3.5 for connecting wired headphones and headsets, a clip for removing the SIM card tray.
The device for removing the SIM card tray is standard, now almost all smartphones are equipped with them.
The Honor 20 Pro smartphone supports fast charging technology, so it is equipped with a 22.5-watt by 4.5-ampere charging unit.
The complete cable also inspires confidence, it is clearly designed for a charging current of 4.5 amperes.
Thanks to the technology of fast charging and a complete charger for 22.5 watts, a fully discharged smartphone takes up to 55% charge in 30 minutes. Up to 100% of the smartphone will charge in 1 hour 20 minutes.
Since the design of the smartphone does not provide a jack for connecting a wired headset, the manufacturer equipped the smartphone with an adapter adapter Type-C to Jack 3.5.
I use a lot of different wired headphones, so I easily checked the functionality of this adapter. I can say with confidence that the sound goes perfectly, without distortion. I did not hear the differences from the direct connection.

Personally, I like absolutely everything in this flagship from Honor. Games at the highest settings just fly. I like the display, which can be finely tuned for the comfort of your eyes. The most correct auto brightness control of the display, which I have seen so far on smartphones. With not a weak daily load on the smartphone, I charge it once every two days. Installed a lot of useful and interesting programs for everyday life and creativity. All of them quickly and accurately do their job. Excellent communication, I hear everyone perfectly and everyone can hear me well. The smartphone works great with devices connected via WiFi and bluetooth, of which I have a great many. I liked the work of cameras in photo and video mode. A lot of creative shooting modes, perfectly writes sound in video mode. By the way, it shoots 4K video at 30 frames per second and Full HD at 60 frames per second.

We were very pleased with the wireless headphones that the manufacturer gave for pre-ordering the Honor 20 Pro smartphone. I enjoy using them and enjoy music.
Honestly, all the headsets, headphones and portable speakers I have sound great when playing from this smartphone. I also want to note that I had no problems buying covers and bumpers to protect my smartphone. There were a great many of them at the start of sales, and now, after 2 months, even more so.
To be honest, it is impossible to cover all the advantages and disadvantages in one review, write everything about this smartphone. I recommend watching all videos on this smartphone on Youtube. Read professional reviews and forums on the Honor 20 Pro if you are interested in this model. For my part, I can recommend this flagship from Honor for purchase. An excellent combination of high-quality cameras, the flagship Kirin 980 processor, a large amount of built-in 256 GB and 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone is made of high quality, it has a great design, it looks very expensive, it’s nice to pick it up.
